We want everyone to be able to use CMS Hub, including people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control.
What we have done
- Used a typeface designed for legibility (Atkinson Hyperlegible) and a large default text size
- Aimed for colour contrast that meets WCAG 2.2 AA
- Made every tool usable with a keyboard, with a visible yellow focus outline
- Labelled every form field and announced results to screen readers
- Written in plain English, with short paragraphs and headings
- Offered a high contrast colour style that site editors can switch on
Known limitations
- Downloadable Word templates have not been tested with every assistive technology
- The care nights calendar is a dense grid. The total and band are announced separately so you do not need to read every day.
